A short biography of the house.
Built in 1870, a survivor of the Great Chicago Fire, kept gently across three centuries, and established as a hotel of eight rooms in 2001. This is who we are and how we work.
Wheeler Mansion has always been a private house first and a hotel second. We staff it that way, we cook for it that way, and we hope you find it that way too.
